SS Barbara/Therese Altar Server Program.
The Altar Server Program is now combined. Below find out what will stay the same and what will change.
Stay the Same:  Older servers will continue  to train the younger servers
New:  servers will be recruited in the fall
Fr. Francis will honor servers who have good attendance.
Changes:
For St. Barbara parents, please know that parents now directly sign their children up instead of us scheduling you.
The St. Therese worship site has found this system to be much more efficient, as it reduces the chances of absenteeism when you have the freedom to schedule.

Eucharistic Ministers are male and female adults who administer the consecrated Bread and Blood at all weekend Masses.
Choir and Cantors are divided into groups and available for different Mass times and services.

Ministers of Care are male and female adults and teens who bring Communion to, visit and pray with parishioners homebound and in nursing facilities. RCIA is for adults looking to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation. Sessions begin each fall and end in spring. Lectors are male and female adults and teens who proclaim Scripture at weekend Masses.

Soup and Scripture

Faith instruction and Sacramental Preparation for 1st through 8th grade children who do not attend St. Barbara is given on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. Class is followed by 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Mary of Perpetual Help or 11:30 a.m. Mass at St. Barbara. Sacristans take turns washing the altar linens. Gather for scripture, sharing and a simple meal of soup and bread during Lent.  Soup and Scripture meets Tuesdays at 6:45 p.m. after the 6:00 p.m. evening Mass.

Ushers are male and female adults and teens who collect tithes and donations at all weekend Masses. Young Adult Ministry (YAM) is open to young adults, ages 18-40, single and married.  The group focuses on Catholic faith, service, and social enrichment.
